Cholera kills 7 people in kano

A fresh cholera outbreak at Badawa-Galadima ward in Nasarawa Local
Government Area of Kano State has reportedly killed seven persons.
Confirming the death, Head of Health Department of the local
government, Alhaji Muazu Doka, told journalists in Kano yesterday that
a total of 68 infected persons were currently receiving treatment.
Muazu pointed out that 29 were at the Infectious Disease Hospital
(IDH) while the remaining 39 were at their respective houses.
"We have also treated more than 71 persons particularly those with
cases that are not severe, the outbreak which started five days ago,
has so far claimed seven lives," he said.
