My name is Oduniyi Shola Akeem, stage name 'EMMANSY', a graduate of Lagos State University. I studied History/international relations... I was born and brought up in Lagos, Am the first from a family of four boys, and am a native of Ogun State.
What kind of music do you sing
I do Afro Rap/hiphop
Why do you sing that kind of music and what inspired you?
Well, the love I have for music especially rap as always wanted me to do music, Rap inspires me a lot, not just a rap but good rap with mighty punchlines usually turns me on.... Moreso, the play on words in Rap has made me or helped me develop the kind of music I do... And the likes of big artistes in the Nigerian music industry has encouraged me a lot.
What do you think of nigerian music industry?
Am very excited the Nigerian music industry has really improved over a decade, big ups to the record labels who have impacted positive changes to the industry... If not, we would still be dancing disco and break dance..lol
Its a big revolution I must say, a revolution that has made an upcoming artiste have his or her way to stardom. Thumbs up to Nigeria Music Industry.
Where your parents in support of your career?
Hmmmmn, yea.. My mom is aware that I do music, but am not sure my dad is.. And if he get to know. He will probably smile and encourage me.
What advice do you have for all other upcoming artiste?
My advice to the upcoming artiste is to keep there heads up high, be consistent and be humble. God will take you there. One Love.
